  As a long time resident of Smithville, I wanted to try Smithville Eats, out of curiosity. First, the item I wanted on the menu was not available, neither was my second choice. I finally ordered a burger. Granted, I forgot to ask how I wanted it cooked, but the waitress should have asked. It turned out that my burger was way overcooked. When I got the check, I had the big surprise of seeing a $1.99 charge for the fries! I've never heard of that. Usually, the fries are included with the burger. Even if they were listed separately on the menu, the waitress should have absolutely mentioned that the fries were separate, and she should have asked if I wanted them or not. She did not. To top it all, the fries were less than average. The only reason why I didn't address all those problems with the waitress right there and then is because I was in a hurry. Also, one of the waiters was wearing jeans with all kinds of holes in them! I realize we're not talking about a four-star restaurant, but still, there should be a minimum of a dress code when you deal with customers. Finally, a suggestion: put a sign right past the entrance door saying: "please sit anywhere". That way, the patrons don't have to wait for nothing like I did, without any of the employees telling me that I didn't have to wait for a hostess, when they clearly saw me standing there.
  I am willing to give this place another try, as I know that you cannot judge a restaurant by one single visit, but if I am disappointed next time, I will never return.

  very good service as well as the food! my son took me for lunch......definitely good company with good food is double the niceness.

  Ate here for the First time with my Mother and have breakfast which was awesome. Mother had a burger which she enjoyed. And after seeing the one bad review, I think the person doesn't understand how Itemized items print out on a payment receipt. All burgers come with fries, And if the burger is 7.99, It may say something like this 5.99 Burger, 1.99 Fries. This helps the owner Track items being sold and how much they sell. Maybe some better programming would help, but they are still new. And since this place has almost everything fresh, they can run out of some food items. either way people should understand this when they post a review . I will come again as they are starting dinner hours soon! and recommend this place to anyone in the area
